Explain Virtual Desktop Agent?

Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA) is a software component i.e., installed on the target virtual desktop machine. It is compatibile with windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 whether they be physical or virtual machines.

The VDA’s roles are two-fold: communicating with Desktop Delivery controller(DDC) to provide states updates so that the DDC knows whether it can be connected to, and hosting the ICA technology (now called as Flex cast) that allows the console of the windows desktop to be remote and delivered to the end user device.
